Welcome Saucy Guest Sam Crescent

I’m so pleased to be one of the first to have this lovely lady guesting. She’s hawt and spicy and a fabulous up and coming writer and I’m proud to say a fellow Rebeler! Join me in welcoming her with a taste of her worlds.

First I want to say, thank you, to Cassandre for inviting me,

I’m a new author of erotic romance, my first official release was last week—June 20th—with a contemporary modern erotic romance, Office Hours published with Total-E-Bound.

This story is very special to me—not only because it is my first release—but because this story made me realise what it was to be a writer. I have always written but as a last thought. With Office Hours, I couldn’t get the story out of my head and so begins this long journey to publication.

I would only ever write a few short sentences and then I’d give it up as a bad attempt. I didn’t understand or even know what it was to be a writer let alone an author. In fact, up to 2009, I’d never even heard of e-books let alone the opportunity out there to publish erotica. Finally after many years of being a reader, and brushing off the suggestion of my family to write my own stuff. In fact, I now laugh at one of my comments to a dear friend who made the suggestion to begin writing my own stuff, I commented, “why would I write my own stuff? I’d know the ending and that would be boring”. He laughed and told me I would see.

Believe me, after several arguments and surprises, I’ve come to realise, writing my own book is like reading something else entirely. No matter what I try or how I try to manipulate my characters—kind of like children—they will do whatever the hell they want to do.

Yes, I apologised to my friend on my assumption.

I wish I could say that it has been an easy journey since publication but I can’t. Since Office hours, I have had three other stories accepted by two other publishing houses. Rebel Ink Press and Secret Cravings Publishing. All four stories are entirely different but hold the key ingredient I love writing about at this time and that is erotic romance. I adore romance in all of its forms and now being able to explore romance through writing has given me an outlet for my crazy over imaginative brain.

When I’m not writing the crazy characters in my head, I’m attempting to use my other creative skills in the kitchen. I love baking and cooking and like my writing some stuff works and some stuff should just stay long buried underneath a load of rubbish in the cupboard.

LOL!!! One of these days… but I’ve joined up to read your new posts, but just returned from a vacation and not at my own home for a while longer so time spent at the computer is iffy to do what I want. Keep reminding me though!!! One day I will spend the day reading!

Hey Sam, great post! I’m gonna grab Office Hours today!
thanks for all your help too. I hope I can someday return the favor!

  4. Wow, guys, thank you for stopping by, I consider this a very tame post and maybe when I’m invited back again it might be a little more risqué. I loved reading how other authors got published because of how different each path is. When I see this stuff it still amazes me.

Thank you to Sharita and woman for your comments 🙂

Liz Crowe it is a pleasure to help you and I’m sure you’ll help me when I need it. Your work is brilliant.

Cassandre, thank you so much for having me I really appreciate it.
